Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make Sidney Vision Clinic the leading provider of vision care products and services in Sidney.

Jeffrey A. Cook, O.D.

Dr. Cook is a 1976 graduate of Sidney High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1979 from the University of Houston with a degree in Physiological Optics. In 1983, he received his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston. His residency was performed at Fort Carson Army Hospital, where he received numerous awards for his performance.

He opened his solo practice in 1983 in Sidney, Nebraska. He is a member of the Nebraska Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Cook is certified in Pre and Post Lasik Surgery Treatment and has lectured on numerous occasions on the affects of diabetes and the eye.

K. James Cook, Certified Optician

K. James Cook is a graduate of Sidney High School and earned his Associates of Arts Degree from Nebraska Western College in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and his Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In 1987, he became a Certified Optician and is well versed in all aspects of dispensing, fitting and repair of frames and lenses.


Barb – Will be the first person you see at our office. She manages Doctor Cook’s schedule, verifies insurance and will be greeting you at check in at our office.


Carla – Will be assisting you with any questions you have about Contact Lenses. She assists patients with ordering contacts here on our website, and stays up on the latest contact lenses for your needs. She is experienced in knowing insurance coverage for eyewear and contacts.

Teri – Certified ParaOptometric

Teri – Will be cordially welcoming you as you begin the Pretest segment of our Comprehensive Examination or Office Visit. Instrumentation is her specialty as well as making your experience a pleasure.


Betsy – Will be, as a professional courtesy, billing insurance for you, so that your deductibles are met, and you have the least out of pocket expense for services performed at our office. If you have any insurance questions, please leave her a message at extension 19.


Jennifer – Will be happy to answer any question about the practice that you have. If she does not know the answer, she will get the answer expeditiously as the Office Manager.
